Free speech legislation

Thursday, August 20th, 2009

The good folks at the First Amendment Center just published a useful list of bills and resolutions being considered by Congress that impact the First Amendment.  There don’t appear to be any designed to comprehensively regulate the Web in the way that the COPA legislation, struck down earlier this year as unconstitutional, was comprehensive.  I thought Congress would go back to the drawing board, but they don’t seem to have done so yet.  In fact, some of these bills are designed to faciliate more speech.
